Both tests are conducted by the National Testing Agency to admit students into the top engineering colleges of the country. JEE Main is the first step of the two-tier examination, followed by JEE Advanced. Both exams are highly competitive and require a lot of preparation.
JEE Main is a multiple-choice computer-based test and is conducted twice a year in January and April.
